Santorini - Black-sand beaches. Whitewashed buildings perched cliffside above an impossibly blue sea. Santorini is so beautiful
we're having trouble finding words to describe it. Just look at the pictures...
The most popular Greek Island in the Aegean Sea is all about energy and attracts a diverse and upscale crowd that
thrives on its stylish nightlife. During the day some privacy can be had in the more secluded north beaches, but
the south beaches are all party. Ski, jet-ski, windsurf, horseback ride, parasail or just save up your energy for
the evening ahead, like most of your fellow travelers in Mykonos..
Kusadasi Kusadasi is one of Turkey's principle holiday resorts. Situated on the west coast of Turkey- 90km south of Izmir, Kusadasi,
is reputed for one of the most attractive city of the Aegean, as it is close to the important historical sites including Ephesus, Didyma,
Priene, Miletos-the principals of ancient times, and ideal for sightseers. Kusadasi has a typical Mediterranean climate with
hot summers and mild winters. The city is bathed in sunshine for 300 days of the year.
It is a great island well known for its beaches. Skiathos, as well as its neighboring island Skopelos, are where the Abba musical Mama Mia! was filmed.
Skiáthos was the first northern Sporade to be developed, back in the mid-1960s. It's not hard to see why, with more than 50 beaches lapped
by an almost Caribbean-colored sea, plus a lushly green backdrop inland. Its original forest, alas, has burnt frequently but such is the humid
climate and ample ground water that replacement growth springs up quickly. A busy yacht marina and dry-dock are a natural outgrowth of the traditional
local cacique-building industry.
You might want to take a city tour for orientation, and later a Bosphorus cruise or an excursion to the Princes' Islands,
to the nearby cities of Edirne, Iznik (Nicaea) or Bursa, Gallipoli and Troy, or even Ephesus or Cappadocia. Many of Istanbul's top sights
such as Topkapı Palace, Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the Hippodrome, are in Sultanahmet. Istanbul's Grand Bazaar is just a 12-
to 15-minute walk or short tram ride west of Sultanahmet along the old Roman road called Divan Yolu.
